Modern rolling stock for the 4th phase of expansion
Along with new trains (regional double-deck trains), the existing S-Bahn trains will be

other refurbishments.

Schloss Laufen
Due to high costs and low levels of use, the cantonal government resolved to close the
Schloss Laufen station near the Rhine Falls by the end of 2015 (board decision
) . The Rhine
Falls tourist destination will continue to be served by bus and S-Bahn.
In connection with an urgent
postulate
of the Cantonal
Council, individual aspects of this decision will be subjected to further in-depth review.
Zurich–Chur service
In the next few years, the long-distance services between Zurich and Chur will be gradually
expanded. These expansions will also marginally affect the Zurich S-Bahn. More details on the
service adjustments in the March region can be found
