Automatic ticket machines are located at all train stops (SBB, BD, FB, SOB, SZU, LAF) in the cities of Zurich and Winterthur as well as at individual bus stops in the Zurich agglomeration. The ticket machines sell single tickets, day passes, 9 o’clock passes, Albis day passes, class upgrades, zone upgrades and bike tickets.

The ZürichCARD can be purchased at: VBZ Ticketerias; train stations in Zurich city and region, and at Zurich airport; Zürichsee Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (Lake Zurich Navigation Company) on Bürkliplatz; Tourist Service at the main station; larger hotels.

All sales offices accept Rail Checks and Reka Cheques. Those operated by the railways and Zurich Public Transport (VBZ) also take credit cards and Postcard. In vehicles with ticket sales, cash is the only valid means of payment.
