NIGHT SUPPLEMENT BY SMS

The ZVV network is very keen to reduce the queues that form at ticket machines just before the departure of night busses and night trains. To this end, unified night supplements are also available for sale via SMS.

HOW TO BUY YOUR SUPPLEMENT:

1. Send an SMS text saying "NZ" to "988".

2. You will be sent your night supplement as an SMS message.
3. Show this night supplement SMS to the driver or ticket inspector on request.

Please note:

  • No need to register in advance.
  • The night supplement via SMS can only be purchased between midnight on Friday morning and 5 a.m. on Sunday, as well as on the nights before most bank holidays. See the Opens PDF in new windownighttime network timetable, valid from 11.12.2011 (PDF, 1.16MB) for details.
  • Cost: CHF 5 per SMS night supplement. The cost of the supplement is charged through your phone bill or pre-paid phone card.
  • If you cannot show your SMS night supplement (e.g. because your phone battery has run out or the SMS message with the night supplement has not yet arrived) the consequences are the same as if you do not have a supplement at all. It is vital, therefore, that you request the SMS night supplement before boarding the bus or train.
  • You can buy several night supplements on one mobile phone, e.g. for people travelling with you. These are only valid if you are all travelling together.
  • Night supplements cannot be forwarded or copied.
  • Night supplements cannot be reimbursed or exchanged.
