Video surveillance
Hold on to what's happening: Most public transport vehicles in the ZVV area are equipped with video surveillance. This is for the safety of passengers and drivers and to support the work of the security organisation.
Video surveillance supports the work of our employees. All vehicles and stops with video monitoring are indicated with a sticker of a video camera. At present, all S-Bahn trains and some buses and trams are monitored.
Where no vandalism or other criminality is recorded or reported, video data is automatically deleted on a continuous basis. Where recordings need to be evaluated, the requisite privacy protection precautions have been put in place in partnership with data protection officers.
