With very few exceptions, the transport companies in the ZVV use only low-floor buses.

Only the following lines continue to use high-floor access:

  • 137
  • 871

Vehicles on the lineĀ 809 can only transport people in hand wheelchairs.

On all other lines passengers benefit from comfortable access, especially people with mobility problems and wheelchair users but also passengers with pushchairs and luggage. All low-floor buses are either fitted with a swing-over ramp or a mobile folding ramp at the second door from the front. People with mobility problems using a wheelchair can embark and disembark at many stops by using the assistance of the staff. Prior notice is not required.

You can check if bus stops are suited for wheelchair users by using the "Barrier-free travel" function available on the ZVV online timetable and the ZVV timetable app.

Please note: As a result of the malfunction of a vehicle or operational disruptions high-floor reserve vehicles may employed.
