Small animals

Small dogs, cats and other small, tame animals may travel free of charge in bags, baskets or other suitable containers.

Large dogs

A reduced 2nd class fare must be purchased for dogs that cannot be transported in a bag, basket or other suitable container. If you travel frequently with your dog throughout Switzerland, it's a good idea to buy a dog pass. More about travelcards for dogs.  

Hand luggage and pushchairs

Hand luggage and accompanied pushchairs are carried free of charge.
