What to do in an emergency situation
S-Bahn (SBB and SZU)
- Transport Police Emergency Number: 0800 117 117
- Emergency call points: Use the call points located at the entrances of vehicles.
- Accompaniment: All night S-Bahn trains are accompanied by security teams. Contact the security personnel.
Bus and Tram
- Police Emergency Number: 117
- Save place: Choose a seat near the driver if you feel unsafe.
How You Can Help
- Stay Vigilant: Don’t look away if you witness an assault or vandalism.
- Raise the Alarm: Alert authorities immediately.
- Avoid Risk: Don’t put yourself in danger.
- File a Complaint: If you’re a victim of theft or an assault, report the incident promptly.
- Search for witnesses: Ask witnesses to share their observations with the police.
- If you observe something, share your information—it can be crucial. Public spaces thrive on vigilance, not anonymity or indifference.
ZVV Security Organization

- Video Surveillance: Public transport and stops are monitored by video surveillance for your protection.
- Security Service: Our Security Service is present throughout the entire network for your benefit.
- Night Network Team: Every S-Bahn train in the night network is accompanied by security personnel who patrol the trains and oversee stations.
- Cooperation: We work closely with professional partners.
