Zones and Zone Maps
The Zurich Transport Network is divided into fare zones. A network ticket enables you to travel on all means of transport within the relevant zones for the valid period.
- The price of your ticket is determined by the number of zones you travel through.
- Within the purchased zones, you can change as often as you like, travel back and forth, and use all public transport as much as you want for as long as your ticket is valid.
Fare zones 110 (City of Zurich) and 120 (City of Winterthur) count double where prices are calculated.
The zones and the period of validity are printed on every ticket.
- Before starting your journey, you must validate your ticket, for example, by entering your destination stop at the machine when purchasing the ticket. This ensures the appropriate zones are automatically assigned.
- If there is no direct connection between two zones, please purchase the additional zones required for your detour.
- You can determine the number of zones you will pass through using the zone maps linked below.
Please Note: Your journey must be completed before the ticket expires.
On this page, you will find the network maps and nighttime network maps for the entire network area as well as for the cities of Zurich and Winterthur. Here, you can access the regional network maps.
