Personalised ZVV departure boards: Terms and conditions of use
Thank you for your interest in a personalised ZVV departure board. To ensure that we can offer you, your guests and your employees a high-quality service, the following terms and conditions
of use apply.
1 Applicability
The contractual relationship between the user and ZVV is governed by these terms and conditions of use. The current Zurich Transport Network (ZVV) privacy policy is an integral part of this.
2 Functionality and benefits
2.1 Hardware and operation
ZVV provides users with a free display of real-time data showing the current departure times of the surrounding stops. This can be displayed on a suitable output device.
2.2 Service level
ZVV ensures that provision of the departure board is stable and reliable. There is no entitlement to a specific availability of the service.
2.3 Support
ZVV provides basic support via email. Users are also notified of upcoming updates, planned downtime and upgrades. However, for technical reasons, this support can only be offered to users who have created the URLs for their personalised ZVV departure board via the online form on the ZVV site (i.e. have not manipulated or obtained the URL in any other way).
Users are responsible for updating their contact details. Changes to contact details can be reported using the support address.
ZVV does not offer IT support.
3 Use
3.1 Output devices
Users are responsible for the procurement, installation and operation of output devices, including the Internet connection. The following minimum requirements shall apply:
- Internet browser: A current (within the last two years) browser version (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Edge or Safari)
- Internet connection: Fixed network connection with at least 10 mbps or a good 4G mobile connection
3.2 Monitor location
The environment in which a personalised ZVV departure board is shown must not violate legal provisions, official requirements or court prohibitions.
3.3 Non-commercial use
The personalised ZVV departure board may only be used for non-commercial information purposes. Reproduction (in whole or in part), transmission (electronically or by other means), modification, linking or use of the timetable information for commercial purposes is prohibited.
3.4 Appearance of the websites
ZVV provides the personalised ZVV departure boards as websites. These websites must be displayed unchanged and complete (including layout, colours, fonts, ZVV logo, etc.).
The personalised ZVV departure board must not be covered by other graphic elements.
3.5 Legally compliant use
Users are obliged to use the personalised ZVV departure board as intended and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
4 Amendments to the terms and conditions of use
ZVV has the right to amend the terms and conditions of use at any time. Users will be informed of significant changes in an appropriate manner.
5 Termination of use
If a personalised ZVV departure board assigned to a user is not used for more than six months, the corresponding user data will be deleted. Similarly, the entitlement to support in accordance with Section 2.3 expires after this period has elapsed.
ZVV also has the right to terminate the use of the departure boards in writing at any time and for any reason, subject to a notice period of six months.
ZVV reserves the right to block individual users and take legal action if one or more points in these terms and conditions of use are not complied with.
6 Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law shall apply. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
